what to wear
Think 90s minimalist basics ; simple, timeless, and effortless.
For families, coordinate over matching. Choose pieces that work well together without everyone wearing the same thing.
Stick to neutral, muted, red tones — black, cream, white, brown, denim, charcoal, olive, and tan, red (especially red leather)
Think denim, simple tees, knits, button-downs, trousers, leather jackets, boots, loafers, and your favorite statement leather piece.
My recommendation, Skip the traditional fall look , avoid plaid, bright oranges, or matching outfits.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Wear comfortable shoes. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the parking area to our shoot location.
• Review the route before arriving. Photos of the walk from the parking area to the shoot location will be posted here to help guide you. Please look through them beforehand so you’re familiar with where you’re going.
• There is a small river crossing. There are large, flat square rocks, so keep this in mind when choosing shoes (you can change them on set)
• Travel light. Especially with families, bring only what you need for an easier walk and session.
• Bring water + feel free to bring an umbrella for shade. Even in the late afternoon/evening, it may still be hot while walking or waiting.
• Save your layers for the set. If you’re wearing jackets, sweaters, or heavier pieces, keep them off until your session so you don’t overheat.
• Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Sessions are back-to-back and photographed with natural light. Your scheduled time is when we begin shooting, so please allow enough time to park and make the walk over.
• I may not be accessible by text once sessions begin. Since I’ll be photographing back-to-back, please review the directions ahead of time and plan your arrival accordingly.
• Keep in mind, these are Fall Mini Sessions. Minis are designed to be simple, quick portraits within the Fall Mini setup and timeframe. Additional props or concepts for birthdays, announcements, engagements, or other special occasions are not included. These would require a regular private session booking (not within the fall minis sessions)
