This year, we’re leaning into satin, corsets, lace and velvet. Clean makeup, effortless hair, timeless silhouettes and pulling a whole lot of insporation from the Renaissance and Victorian era . Christmas, through an editorial lens. My favorite!

Hair & Makeup Inspo
Hair and makeup for this years Christmas minis will be an important part of bringing the vision to life, wether you want to lean into the full glam moody renaissance look or a clean/effortless look that brings natural flush and glow to the face below are some perfect inspirations to lean into. I will also be attaching links to makeup and hair artists in the San Antonio Area.
Makeup
For makeup feel free to go as dramatic or as effortless as you would like. Skin Glowww, Berry colored lips, Blush all the way to your temple. Romantic Lashes that allow your beauty to radiate. Add in a faux mole if you’re feeling it.
HAIR
For hair an effortless updo with curls that have lost there spring, embrace the frizziness and texture. For down looks curls that replicate a natural texture, feel free to add in a headpiece or pearls. Imagine yourself as an oily painting for generations to come.

A simple black tuxedo would work perfect, lean into a more modern oversized look. If you’re wanting to lean more into the time period play around with the shirt and get something with ruffles or silk. Don’t be afraid of broaches and pinks to add to your look.
Accesories
The accessories are what will really bring the look to life, even if you’re sticking to a more traditional silhouette for wardrobe. Pearls and lace chokers. Keep an eye out for cameo Pins/broaches that you can add. There is n o way to over accessorize this look so dont be afraid
WOmen
For my beautiful ladies, all of the dresses are couture and will likely not get our hands on any of these, but it’s perfect for Inspo! Don’t be afraid of textures , ruffles , volume, drapery. All of this will really photograph beautifully! Silk , Velvet, lace dresses are definitely the way to go! Okay so how do we get this look? Here are a couple of tricks that will elevate the look and feel on theme:

For color palette, Jewel tones will work beautifully. Black, white, and nude will always be timeless! Don’t be afraid to mix tones, and patterns.
